The set point is the temperature a reefer unit is instructed to maintain for a load, specified by the shipper on the bill of lading. Continuous and cycle-sentry run modes affect how tightly it holds.
Why it matters
Photographing the set point at pickup and delivery is the cheapest temperature-claim insurance available.
