Rate Confirmation
A rate confirmation is the written agreement from a broker to a carrier stating the load's rate, stops, dates, reference numbers and terms. Signing it commits the carrier to haul the load at the stated price.
Why it matters
Read accessorial and detention terms before signing — that is where margin is won or lost.
