Rate Per Mile
Rate per mile (RPM) is the load's total revenue divided by the miles required to run it. All-in RPM includes deadhead miles; loaded RPM does not, which is why the two numbers can differ sharply.
Why it matters
Compare all-in RPM against your cost per mile to know whether a load is actually profitable.
